Our mission
ElectoralVote.com is an independent, nonpartisan voter-education publication. Our goal is to make two complicated tasks easier: finding the correct official voter-registration service and understanding how presidential votes are translated into electoral votes.
What readers can expect
We write plain-language explanations, organize public election resources, and distinguish our guidance from the government services that perform registration and administer elections. We cover all 50 states and Washington, D.C.
For information that can change—such as deadlines, identification requirements, eligibility details, voting locations, and mail-ballot procedures—we point readers to the responsible state, local, or federal source and encourage direct verification.
Our state-domain network
Each state and Washington, D.C. has a memorable RegisterToVote.com address in our network. Those addresses are intended to help residents find the matching ElectoralVote.com state guide. Every guide identifies the jurisdiction clearly and links onward to official government registration information. ElectoralVote.com does not present those addresses as government websites.
What we do not do
We do not register voters, determine eligibility, maintain voter rolls, issue ballots, report individual voting history, or ask how anyone plans to vote. Those responsibilities belong to election authorities.
